Stolen time

This building was built during the Japanese style of architecture in the 1930’s as part of Ilmac Culture Foundation’s architecture. It was used as a private house until the early 1990’s, and has been abandoned for about thirty years- without any trace of human life.  It was tore down by the redevelopment of businesses in Choryang(one of the oldest city in Busan, South Korea) in 2016. Prior to the building of Ilmac Culture Foundation being torn down, Jazoo Yang staked out at the building for two months in order to research the building and its surroundings, collect remains from the outside and inside of the building, and progress her installation project for her art practice.
